Question: Why do I keep repeating things in relationships?

Because you won't see the illusion of what you're looking for in relationships. When a person has an illusion about something that they want, they lie to themselves and claim that they want something else. And they say, ``I want intimacy'' when what they really want is safety, and so they claim they are going after intimacy in the relationship but what they're really going after is safety and nobody will ever give them safety, so they do it again and again and again until one day they say, ``Boy, this is really dumb and I don't want to do it anymore.''
And they see the illusion in it. How can you stop doing something when you don't even know what you're doing? When you're lying and saying, ``I'm doing something else'' then you try to deal with the thing you're lying about and it has no effect because its not what you were doing.
